Emily is a Solicitor in our Commercial Litigation Team. Emily joined the firm in 2016 as a Trainee Solicitor after reading Law at the University of Wolverhampton, and obtaining a Merit from the University of Wolverhampton in her LPC. Emily became part of the Commercial Litigation Team in January 2018, and qualified as Solicitor into the team in April 2018.
Emily has specialism in all areas of contentious work which includes: Commercial Debt Recovery; Commercial Property Disputes for both Landlord and Tenant; Commercial Contract Disputes; Passing off and Misrepresentation Disputes; Professional Negligence Claims; and Defamation Claims
Recent Experience/Notable work:
Assisting in defending an injunction and multifaceted claim, which was mainly in respect of an obstruction of a parcel of land;
Assisting in a successful mediation regarding building works trespassing on our Clients’ land;
Bringing a substantial claim for breach of contract for residential building works;
Successfully bringing a claim against a company for outstanding invoices of a substantial value.
Emily is a general committee member of the Walsall Law Association
Hobbies & interests:
Emily is a qualified dinghy instructor and competes in the annual Southport 24 Hour Charity Race. Emily also enjoys watching movies and going on country walks in her spare time.
