Katie successfully gained a degree in Law and Business Studies at Staffordshire University and then completed the Legal Practice Course in 2008. Katie has a wealth of experience in Employment Law practise as this has been her sole area of expertise since 2009. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2010 and so has over 8 years of post-qualification experience. She completed her training at a local firm before qualifying and stayed locally until joining Enoch Evans LLP in February 2016 . She has a varied caseload from non-contentious advisory work for both corporate and private clients through to complex contested employment tribunal cases.
Throughout her studies she worked extensively within the motor trade. Katie felt that it was very important to learn the practical side of business in order to help support her clients when providing legal advice. .
Although Katie has always worked locally, she acts for both national and international clients on a regular basis.

Advised on a discrimination case where the treatment suffered caused psychiatric injury
Negotiating settlements for Equal pay and discrimination claims against a government department
Implemented the principles of the Autoclenz case to argue employment status for a group of employees who were alleged to be self-employed contractors
Pursued a claim against a world famous brand for discrimination which resulted in a substantial financial settlement
Worked with a large company experiencing a high number of employment tribunal claims to provide HR support and training in order to prevent exposure to future claims
Challenged a Barrister in open court and submitted evidence regarding a complex legal point which helped to secure a fair outcome, making a substantial difference to the financial liability of the client
Katie is a member of the Walsall and Birmingham Law Associations
Hobbies & interests:
Katie is married and has two young sons and likes family trips to the Zoo, park and the Gruffalo walk. She likes swimming and cooking and is also a qualified Scuba Diver which provides a perfect excuse for booking exotic holidays!
