Richard read Law at Sheffield University and then attended Nottingham Law School. Following this, Richard joined Enoch Evans LLP on 16th July 2007, qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and became a Partner with the Firm on 1st October 2012. Richard is also the Head of the Wills, Tax and Probate department and the Senior Officer responsible for the Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme.
Since qualifying as a Solicitor, Richard has developed an ability of being able to assist clients with Wills and associated matters. Richard has developed extensive experience in the preparation of all types of Wills, including those to protect assets from potential claims and the mitigation of Inheritance Tax. Richard’s approach involves looking at each client’s circumstances holistically and ensuring that all clients are fully informed of all the options available to them.
Richard’s clients find his personable nature and ability to explain complex legal issues in a straightforward manner a great help to them when looking at either getting their own affairs in order, or dealing with the affairs of a family member.
Richard has dealt with the administration of over 400 Estates and Grants of Probate since qualifying as a Solicitor with Enoch Evans LLP.

Hobbies & interests:
In his spare time Richard enjoys spending time with his young family and is interested in all sports, particularly football, which he plays and watches as much as possible. Richard is also a devoted supporter of Darlington 1883, much to most people’s amusement.
