New Nominated Charity Announced
Enoch Evans solicitors have announced that their nominated charity is NewLife The Charity for Disabled Children.
Newlife is changing the lives of disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.
They offer a lifeline for families, providing life-changing and life-saving specialist equipment when and where it’s needed. Childhood cancers, birth defects, accidents, diseases and infections can all cause disability. They are affecting children and their families every day.
They can ensure more children get the best possible start in life and fulfil their potential.
In the past, Enoch Evans Solicitors have chosen all kinds of charities as their partners. David Evans, managing partner of the firm said:
“Supporting a charity is an integral part of Enoch Evans and has always been a priority for us. We have a long history of working with charities in the local community and are fully committed to giving back to the communities we live and work in”.
In 2022 a committee of staff members was formed to discuss and oversee strategies and activities. Having their charitable activities spearheaded by their staff has proved successful for firm-wide engagement. Creating a committee has really helped to drive and shape their endeavours to ensure the firm is able to raise as much as they can for local charities they support.
The creation of the committee has helped create a framework and purpose for activities. It has encouraged, developed, and supported employees who wish to engage in charitable activity. Regular internal communications are sent to keep staff informed of the activities taking place and details of how to get involved.
Previous activities have included dress-down days, usually on the last Friday of every month whereby staff donates to the charity. Seasonal gift hampers raffled in a prize draw, Tea/Coffee, and cake mornings as well as cash donations. The committee are however looking at other activities to assist with the fundraising exploits.
David Evans said:
“I’m very proud of the firm engaging and supporting our nominated charity. The activities held across all three of our offices shows that it is a great team effort and without the firm-wide support, we would not be able to raise as much as we did. A lot of our staff not only engage with the local community through work but also live locally which is why the focus of nominating a local charity is so integral to Enoch Evans. The partners and I support the commitment to charity-giving by matching the funds raised by staff and adding it to the total funds raised”.
