Fay Wellings

Paralegal

Fay is a Paralegal in the Court of Protection team at Enoch Evans Solicitors, assisting clients and families with legal matters relating to individuals who may lack the mental capacity to make decisions for themselves.

Fay joined Enoch Evans in February 2024, initially working within Central Support Services before progressing into a specialist legal role and being promoted to Paralegal in November 2025. She began her legal career as a Legal Secretary in 2019 and gained valuable experience within other law firms before joining Enoch Evans.

Her background in legal support, combined with her experience within the Court of Protection team, has enabled her to develop strong organisational, procedural and client-care skills. She understands the importance of handling Court of Protection matters with care, accuracy and sensitivity, particularly where decisions concerning a person's finances, property or welfare are involved.

Court of Protection Expertise

  • Preparation and administration of personal injury
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  • Court of Protection applications and deputyships
  • Management of financial affairs for vulnerable individuals
  • Capacity issues and best interests’ decisions
  • Private client advisory services
  • Wills and estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration

Fay's role requires a high level of organisation and attention to detail, particularly when dealing with sensitive financial and personal information and matters involving vulnerable individuals.

She prides herself on being approachable, patient and supportive, and understands that Court of Protection matters can be unfamiliar and stressful for families, particularly when they are trying to decide for someone who can no longer manage their own affairs.

She takes the time to understand each client's circumstances and aims to explain legal and procedural requirements in a clear and accessible way. Her focus is on ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout the process.

Outside work

Outside of work, Fay enjoys walking her dog, Pluto. She also enjoys crochet and reading, as well as travelling to new countries and trying different foods.
