£1,000 raised for important local charity

As part of an initiative we have supported for a number of years, we are proud to have raised £1,000 for St Giles Hospice during a recent 'Make Your Will Fortnight'.

Our team waived its usual fee when preparing a standard Will in lieu of important donations to the hospice which supports patients and their families living with a terminal illness.

Wills, Tax and Probate Partner Reiss Matthews said: "'Make Your Will Fortnight' is a great opportunity to work with those looking to take action and prepare a Will while raising vital funds for such an important community resource. With our offices embedded in the lives of many living in the Walsall and Sutton Coldfield area, we have been able to successfully provide legal services to clients both in person and remotely using digital technology. Enoch Evans LLP is proud to support local organisations, such as St Giles, and look forward to taking part in similar initiatives in the future."

The hospice has been providing vital services in the community since 1983, when it was originally set up to improve the care of local people dying with cancer. Since its inception, the hospice has grown to now support many more people in the locality whose illnesses may not be curable.

As the specialist services are provided free of charge and limited government funding is received, fundraising events like the "Make Your Will Fortnight' are vital to continue the support of patients and their families.

Samantha Storey, Regional Fundraising Manager at St Giles Hospice, said: "We're incredibly grateful for the continued support of Enoch Evans LLP, who have supported our 'Make Your Will Fortnight' campaign for many years and have raised over £70,000, through various fundraising activities, for St Giles Hospice since 2007.

"Make Your Will Fortnight encourages our community to protect the future of their loved ones, while protecting the future of our hospice too. Local solicitors like Enoch Evans kindly waive their usual fees and provide their time and expertise to help people make or update their Will, in return for a donation to our hospice."

We will also be taking part in the October instalment of the event later this year, aiming to raise even more money and make a bigger difference to the lives of our clients, friends, family and all those that need it.

Samantha continued: "This year's campaign is taking place between 18th - 31st October and we're so thankful to have Enoch Evans on board again. All donations help us continue to provide our vital care services for local people, and their families, living with a terminal illness."
