We are looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience to join our Litigation team. The role would suit someone who wants to join a firm which is forward thinking, collaborative and ambitious.

The Role

At present the Employment team operates from within the Litigation team with the Head of Team, Stephen Nixon recognised in the Legal 500, showcasing the level of knowledge, skill and expertise he and his team have in all areas of Litigation.

Looking for someone with the skill, ambition and drive to want to build and establish a team around them.

About you.

Ideally you will have experience of dealing with the following areas of Employment law -

  • Contested Employment matters including:
    • Unfair Dismissal
    • Discrimination claims
    • Working Time claims
    • Contractual Disputes and Restrictive Covenants

 

  • Non-contested employment matters including:
    • Drafting employment documentation such as contracts of employment, staff handbooks, policies and procedures.
    • Advising on the employment aspects of commercial transactions, including TUPE and the provision of associated HR support.

 

  • Advising upon and drafting settlement agreements for both employers and employees.
  • Negotiating exit packages for departing employees.
  • Offering support to HR teams of established commercial clients on matters such as:
    • Grievances and Disciplinaries
    • Flexible Working requests
    • Redundancies and restructures
    • Director/Senior manager exits
