During her time at University, she undertook a placement with the university's pro-bono Legal Advice Centre. Her role was assisting clients with their legal claims, interviewing and advising, and overseeing the claim/case under the supervision of a qualified solicitor.

- LLB (Hons) First Class
- LLM LPC with Commendation

In her spare time, Shelby likes to socialise with family and friends. She also loves spending time with her dogs as well as having an interest in exploring and traveling.
